i had to capture this ad by t-mobile. i think it is a really clever campaign - not that i know anything about advertising except that people always mix-up my PR career (can i call it that?) with an advertising career. then i try to explain, and well, forget it... no one gets PR, not even PR professionals! okay, i just went on a rant - regardless, i really like this ad!

this was fun! my roommate got engaged on 2/15 so we thought it would be fun to take a pic of our rings together! totally crazy that the Lord would bless us both this way. hallelujah!!

this is my dry cleaners. it is run by the sweetest, nicest couple. i don't know there names yet, but the husband is smaller than me and thinner than i am yet every time i have a lot to pick-up, he insists on carrying my clothes out to the car. so nice!

today i had a lunch date with emily, amy and tracy (roommate). they bought me, along with a few other girls, a photo album for peter and i with our engagement date engraved on the front. so sweet!

tonight was our monthly women's ministry event at church, our book club. i love this little church!

this didn't turn out quite how i was hoping. but overall, i wanted to capture the various styles of architecture you find in chicago. the hancock in the background, the walk-up in the foreground and the church to the right. i love that about this city.

oh chicago in the winter. we got creamed with this unreal blizzard today. check out the hilarious picture of me leaving work with my awesome boots (thanks britt!) and the view on lake shore drive. it took me TWO HOURS to get home tonight!

pure random boredom. nothing to take a picture of today...the view from my living room across the courtyard at the neighbors who lived there a good 5-6 months before installing blinds.

today we went looking at venues for our wedding reception. these are a few pics from the chicago history museum. it is a very pretty space and has an out door patio.

i spent hours cleaning my condo today and then peter came in, did not take off his shoes and made shoe marks on my newly cleaned floor. this is him not admitting guilt. i had to take a picture of the shoes in question too - haha!

this picture was taken at foster beach. everyday i take lake shore drive to and from work and get to see the beautiful lake but never take any pictures. after work i decided to stop and see what i could do about that. this is my favorite part of the city, the lake. i run on this path year round and no matter how many times i run it, i still think it is beautiful.

this week was founder's week at MBI and i had to work the information desk tonight. this is a picture of the inside of the church while the women's choir was rehearsing. i think it is one of the most beautiful churches i have ever been in.

in addition to the freezing cold weather, it decided to snow. it took me 1.5 hours to get from downtown to church tonight. this trip usually only takes 20 minutes!

nothing like heading to work on monday morning when it is a high of 5 degrees for the day! needless to say, i drove my roommate to work too. there was no way i could let her walk to the L.

after the wonderful weekend with the youth this is where i spent my sunday afternoon watching the superbowl and relaxing :) sorry this couldn't be more exciting - i was super tired!

this weekend we took the youth ministry, consumed, on a retreat out to the burbs. this is a picture of the worship team leading our first dservice of the weekend. they were amazing!!
